A Rust library, CLI and terminal interface for verifying, appending, streaming and browsing tamper-evident audit chains.
Verify the history, locate the break
Nostoi reads its own nostoi-v1 JSON Lines and append-only SQLite stores, WeftMark ledgers, and Ephor audit stores. Verification identifies the first inconsistent record; a broken chain is never extended.
The portable core has no networking, CLI or Linux dependency. Native Python bindings and WebAssembly interfaces are available in the checkout.
A chain is only part of the answer
Hash links detect changes within a chain. Detecting a removed tail or a completely recomputed history needs a previously trusted head retained outside it.
Remote checkpoints, multi-destination anchoring and signed attestations keep integrity, signer identity and external observation distinct. Signing keys belong with their operators, not in a public website Worker.
Shared evidence infrastructure
Nostoi gives Frog, Sylvae and other RAGBAZ projects a common chain format, and verifies the ledgers those projects already keep. This website publishes project information; it does not claim to verify an uploaded chain or signature.
